Brides, this spectacular Spanish wedding is sure to sweep you off your feet!
Our gorgeous couple, Evelyn and Chris’s love story began when they were teenagers in Bolton. They met at the local cricket club where Evelyn worked and Chris played. Chris was instantly ‘bowled over’ by Evelyn, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After dating for nearly 7 years, Chris proposed in 2021 on their holiday in Tenerife and they set about planning the wedding of their dreams. They were married on the 5th of September 2023 in the gorgeous Spanish coastal town of Tossa De Mar. Their venue, the beautiful and historic boutique Hotel Diana was the perfect choice for their timeless ‘old Spanish’ theme. Nestled in Tossa de Mar’s old town, Hotel Diana is an old private house, now turned boutique hotel, that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. With stunning interior decor and a spectacular grand white façade, this hotel was exactly what the couple were looking for.
Hotel Diana is a perfect mix of modern and timeless design and is exquisitely situated on the beachfront of this beautiful Spanish coastline. To enhance the old-world charm of their venue and to bring to life their timeless Spanish theme, the couple chose wedding blooms of simple cream roses and wispy gypsophila which added to the simple, delicate and romantic vibe the couple were aiming for. Combined with flower arches adorning the staircase, the resulting look was simply magical.
Evelyn chose the iconic Archie gown by Australian designer Made with Love for her big day. Archie is the perfect mix of modern and classic. She’s sexy, sophisticated and made from double French crepe so she’s super comfortable too.
Archie is the perfect choice for a romantic bride. Sleek and simple with a signature cowl back and deep V neckline, this figure-hugging gown really is one-of-a-kind. Evelyn loved Archie’s timeless style, her feminine fit and the way the fabric felt. She paired Archie with a statement headband and a beautiful pearl-embellished veil. Evelyn said she knew Archie was ‘THE’ dress because she wanted something timeless – a dress that she could look back on in 10 years’ time and would still love.
Evelyn said her experience with us at LOVE was:
“Out of this world! They really made the appointment so special for myself and anyone I brought to the fittings. I really struggled to find a dress that wouldn’t irritate my skin and the girls at LOVE made sure everything was just right for me and looked through all the textures of the dresses before I tried them on. It was a breath of fresh air to walk into a bridal shop that didn’t start with a hard sell and wanted me to take my time with all the decisions I was making. There’s nothing worse than feeling under pressure and there was none of that.”
Aww we couldn’t agree more. Finding the dress of your dreams should never be rushed. There’s nothing we care about more than helping brides find their perfect match and we were thrilled to be part of Evelyn’s wedding journey.
Evelyn said that the highlights of her wedding day were:
“The morning of the wedding with my bridesmaids and mother. I wanted a super chilled morning to enjoy the special moments with each other. I absolutely loved the walk down from the lighthouse where we got married. It was just me and Chris in the moment and we soaked it all in.”
Evelyn and Chris had this wedding tip for other couples planning their big day:
“Do not stress about anything you cannot control and take it all in! Give any presents you have for your bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride etc in the days leading up to the wedding, so they (and you) really have time to take it all in. Also, on the day of the wedding, don’t feel like you must mingle with everyone, if you want to stay on the dancefloor all night, do it! You’ve organised the party so enjoy it!”
