There’s nothing better than a true love story to warm you up in winter!
Our lovely couple Beth and George were childhood sweethearts. After leaving school, they may have gone their separate ways, Beth to Liverpool University to study English and George off to pursue his football career, but they both always knew that they would end up together!
When Beth returned to Manchester after graduating, George got back in touch, and the rest as they say, is history! Beth, now a primary school teacher, and George, a Chester FC football player, said ‘I do’ on the 17th of June 2023 at the stunning Dorfold Hall. With its vast lawns and quintessentially English vibe, this Jacobean mansion was the perfect one-of-a-kind venue for this happy couple’s wedding.
To match the Grade II listed building venue, Beth and George opted for a classical and timeless wedding style. Working with florist Jo at Fletcher & Foley, they chose a neutral white and blush pink palette filled with blousy peonies, quicksand roses and beautiful muted greenery to perfect the look. The bridesmaids wore pale blush pink satin dresses from Pretty Lavish and George’s groomsmen wore a classically stylish black tie, supplied from Whitfield & Ward in Wilmslow.
For her big day, Beth wore ‘Remi’ by Made with Love. She saw the dress on our socials and was instantly drawn to it. We can understand why! Remi is an absolute dream of a dress. She is ultra-feminine, flirty and floral. With Made with Love’s iconic low back, statement train and of course all that breath-taking 3D floral lace, this gown is so swoon worthy!
Beth said that Remi was quite an unexpected dress choice for her. She typically opts for plain neutral clothing in day-to-day life, so Remi’s intricate lace detailing and beautiful Chantilly lace underlay was a world away from her usual taste. But once she tried Remi on, Beth fell in love with her figure-hugging silhouette, detailed straps and low V neckline. She also liked the idea of wearing something completely different to what people might have expected.
Due to the stunning fabric of the Remi gown, Beth kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing simple pearl drop earrings from Lily & Roo, satin block heels and a sparkly pearl hair pin by Liberty in Love. She finished off her look with Made with Love’s “Holly” veil, a stunning 3-metre cathedral veil made from the most breath-taking tulle. The resulting look was amazing!
Beth had these kind words to say about her experience with us at LOVE.
“It was just perfect. You were so welcoming, calming and friendly and radiated so much joy and excitement which immediately put an anxious bride at ease!”
Aww! There’s nothing we love more than helping our brides overcome any nerves and niggles. Creating a calm and relaxed environment for brides to enjoy their trying-on experience is all part of what we believe makes our boutique experience so special.
Beth and George said the highlight of their special day was “Everything!”.
One standout moment for Beth were the speeches.
“George, my dad and the best men did an incredible job. They had the whole room in fits of laughter and the amount of time and effort gone into them was beautiful”.
Beth’s top tip for brides-to-be planning their big day is:
“Do not stress the small things. Nobody will notice if something doesn’t go to plan, you will be too busy having fun! Enjoy every moment as the day goes by so quick and it really will be the best day of your life.”
We’ve loved hearing all about this classically chic wedding filled with love and lots of laughter. Huge thanks to photographer Jo Bradbury for sharing these stunning photos of Beth and George’s beautiful wedding. From their epic videographer Stefan from YSD media, to singer Danny Jones and all the super suppliers that helped make this wedding so spectacular, this certainly was a day to remember!
