The charm of a countryside wedding never goes out of style! We’re totally in LOVE with Christina and Nathan’s gorgeous rustic style winter wedding.
Wind farm technician Nathan and horse loving Christina got engaged in 2016 whilst visiting the spectacular Bow Falls waterfall in Canada. This fab couple live on a farm in Mottram, so it is no surprise that, as they planned their big day, their love of the countryside became a big part of their wedding style.
They chose the stunning Heaton House Farm as their wedding venue. This fantastic venue is nestled on a hillside of a working farm on the Staffordshire border. With its rustic barns, luxuriously converted stables and picturesque backdrop of rolling hills it was the ideal venue for them to say, “I do”.
Christina and Nathan were married on New Year’s Eve 2021, surrounded by their family and friends. With the wintery theme of this December wedding, Christina and Nathan chose traditional seasonal flowers using ruby red roses, deep emerald greens, pinecones and snowy white blooms. They used fresh flowers for bouquets and table centres, but also added fantastic floral decorations such as a giant dried flower hoop which was a stunning addition to their rustic wedding style.
Using locally and sustainably sourced food thanks to Stable Yard Catering and ending the evening (and 2021) with a spectacular fireworks display, it was the perfect way to start the New Year as Mr & Mrs!
Christina wore the stunning Ryder gown by iconic designer Made with Love. This spectacular dress simply oozes style. With a deep plunging neckline and illusion tulle for extra comfort and support, Ryder hugs every curve and is full of exquisite detail with intricate beading and sparkling lace. Despite Christina initially thinking that she wanted a plain dress, when she tried on Ryder and saw all the beautiful detail she instantly fell in LOVE. We can see why! To finish off her look, Christina added a sparkly belt to wear at their evening reception.
Christina kept her dress choice a secret right up until her big day. She didn’t tell anyone – not even her mum. We had our lips sealed too!
Christina had these kind words to say about her experience with us here at LOVE.
“From start to finish they were fantastic. They couldn’t have helped me anymore than they did, nothing was ever too much and the whole process was super fun. I actually didn’t tell anyone (not even my mum) what dress I had chosen so I could say I was a little nervous and just prayed everyone loved it as much as I did. They loved it!”
We knew Ryder was the perfect choice too!
Christina had these wise words for brides-to-be planning their nuptials:
“Don’t stress, enjoy the planning and don’t leave anything until the last minute as the last few weeks before your big day you need to enjoy and be stress free (I genuinely was super chilled). Also don’t start planning years ahead as it gives you more time to change your mind or go off things you have already purchased.”
With its warm character and rustic charm this was a countryside wedding absolutely brimming with style and love. Thanks to Steve Bridgwood Photography for sharing these amazing photos of the day. A special shout out also goes to wedding band The Rush for the incredible music and keeping everyone dancing, That Prop Guy for the brilliant magic mirror photo booth which everyone LOVED and Buttercup Cakes for the spectacular and oh-so-yummy wedding cake.
