Is there anything better than a wedding full to the brim with style? We just LOVE Sophie and Graeme’s wedding with its funky fusion of traditional meets boho style! Intrigued? Here are all the delicious details of this wow-worthy wedding.
Sophie, originally from Macclesfield and Graeme from Cheadle Hulme, got engaged in New York on the 29th of December 2017, with romantic Graeme popping the question on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge! Aww!
Despite having to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic, this fab couple finally tied the knot on the 14th of July 2022 (two years later than planned) at the amazing Dorfold Hall in Nantwich. This elegant venue with its tumbling rose arches, lush green lawns and 17th Century Jacobean charm is nothing short of stunning!
Nestled in 800 acres of English countryside, with elegant interiors and oodles of vintage character, it was the perfect, picturesque venue for Sophie and Graeme’s beautiful big day.
To reflect the character and vintage architectural elements of Dorfold Hall, Sophie wanted a traditional wedding vibe. She chose an elegant colour scheme of white, gold and pink that worked beautifully with the champagne coloured satin dresses selected for her bridesmaids. Keen to add a touch of boho to their nuptials, Sophie worked with family friend Ruth from Manchester florists Flower Style to create the most stunning displays. Alongside her gorgeous array of blooms, Sophie chose to include billowy pampas grass in her bouquets and table centres to add a fabulous boho feel and lush texture to her wedding florals. The results speak for themselves. Stylish, stunning and oh so on trend!
Adding to the fusion of traditional meets boho, Sophie wore the ‘Carla’ gown by Australian designer Made with Love. Carla is simply a work of art. Adorned with delicate handmade flowers this gorgeous gown, with her glamorous low back and sexy body skimming silhouette, perfectly combines a boho vibe with oodles of swoon-worthy style. Carla really is next level gorgeousness! Especially with that long statement train!
Sophie had already fallen in LOVE with the Carla dress online and knew this was the one she wanted so, when she tried her on at the boutique, her mind was set! She paired her Carla dress with the Carla veil, with its matching applique to her dress, and finished off her look with simple pearl drop earrings from Lily & Roo. Sophie switched up her look for the wedding breakfast by swapping the Carla veil for an equally stunning pearl headband! For her something blue, Sophie wore the most amazing blue-hued Sophia Webster butterfly winged heels with “Wifey” and “For Lifey” on the soles! She confided that before she’d even met Graeme, she knew she’d wear Sophia Webster wedding shoes when she finally tied the knot! Aww we DO love a happy ending! (And a gorgeous shoe!)

It’s such a lovely, feminine space with such beautiful dresses. Sophie said that her highlights of their wedding day were:
“All of it! Getting ready with my closest friends and family in the morning was really exciting, especially getting in my dress and putting on all the finishing touches. I also loved walking into the ceremony with my dad, seeing all our favourite people there and Graeme turning around, that was a really special moment. And my dad’s speech! That was amazing, I was so proud of him!”
Sophie and Graeme’s top tips for couples planning their big day is:
“Enjoy the planning and the build-up. Don’t let it become stressful as it’s supposed to be one of the most exciting times of your life! Especially don’t stress about the little things as they really won’t matter on the day!”
